Life and Physical Science Awards

The Connecticut Science & Engineering Fair was recently held at Quinnipiac University and two of our St. Matthew School students participated in the life science and physical science divisions. Both were recognized for their hard work and excellent projects with the following awards:
Lauren, Grade 7, "Which Moisturizer is Best?", finalist for the 7th grade division, Life Science Awards with support from Boehringer Ingelheim, 2nd place winner of the Middle School Engineering, Pepsico Engineering Awards, and nomination to the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge in Washington D.C. (awarded to the top 10% of middle school students in participating fairs)
Lily, Grade 7, "Which Drink Has the Most Electrolytes?", finalist for the Petit Family Foundation Women in Science & Engineering Awards and winner of the Robert Francoeur Memorial Awards, Creative or innovative project in engineering, computer science or mathematics by female students
